My Exclusive Interview with Jeff Fahey + Finale Updates
As you know, this is a strictly spoiler-free site. For that reason, I just posted my exclusive interview with Jeff Fahey on Doc's site. Click here to read at your own risk, as he addresses the fate and future of Frank Lapidus.
I am offline for the rest of the day to avoid additional spoilers, and will not be reading anyone's wall/updates/tweets until after I've seen the finale here on the West Coast. But I will be posting updates from Jay and Jack's big finale party on Twitter and Facebook if you'd like to follow along. From 5pm-7pm PST tonight, I will be on stage moderating a panel with some of the cast, including Sterling Beaumon (young Ben), L. Scott Caldwell (Rose), Andrea Gabriel (Nadia), Neil Hopkins (Liam Pace), Eric Lange (Radzinsky) and more!
In the interest of time, I will also announce the winner of the DVD contest tomorrow.
Enjoy the finale and experience my friends. And thank you for sharing the roller coaster ride with me.

Getting LOST with Elizabeth Mitchell. In Person.
As most you know, I had the opportunity to interview Elizabeth Mitchell two weeks ago on the set of V in Vancouver for TVovermind. While I posted her thoughts about playing Erica on V earlier tonight, I wanted to share the entire unedited interview with you. It should come as no surprise that almost all of the conversation focused on Lost, and she was more than happy to talk about her role as Juliet.
Those who know me or read this site regularly are very aware that I am a huge fan of Mitchell's and Juliet is my favorite character on Lost, so my enthusiasm is rather evident when you listen to the audio (two words: fast ramble). It was a tremendous joy to speak with her, as she was extremely open and friendlier than anyone I've ever had the pleasure of interviewing in person. In my unbiased professional opinion, the best way to describe Elizabeth Mitchell is delightful.
We had a few minutes to chat about Lost off the record before the interview, which I appreciated and will respectfully keep to myself forever. On the record, Mitchell addresses everything from the love quadrangle to Juliet's death scene to working with Josh Holloway and Michael Emerson.
Please note: there are very MINOR spoilers in this 7 minute interview. What Mitchell alluded to did not surprise me and should be obvious to Lost fans who pay close attention to dialogue and details; on a spoiler-ish scale of 1-10, I rate this conversation a 3. Given my spoiler-free policy on this site, I wanted to give you fair warning; click to listen at your own risk:
At some point in the near future, I will post a transcript of this interview. However, in the interest of preventing someone from 'accidentally' reading it and getting spoiled, I chose to post audio only at this time.
Enjoy!

Lost Season 6, Episode 1: Title Analysis
I broke my own rule and watched a few episodes of Lost while flying a few days ago. It was eerie, but also a productive use of time! Sitting in the airport and then on the plane, I started to ponder the possible interpretations of the Season 6 premiere episode title.
Although I try to remain as spoiler-free as possible, I was unable to avoid hearing about the title; not only was it revealed in Paul Scheer's viral video, it was plastered all over Facebook and Twitter.
By the way, one of the southernmost cities in Lower Australia is PORTLAND. According to Richard Alpert, the island is "not quite in Portland." Just a thought. :)
So...what is YOUR interpretation of LA X?
Although I try to remain as spoiler-free as possible, I was unable to avoid hearing about the title; not only was it revealed in Paul Scheer's viral video, it was plastered all over Facebook and Twitter.
So here is your MINOR SPOILER warning...if you do not want to know the title, stop reading now - it is posted below the photo below.
Assuming that LA X is actually the title of episode 6.01, and not a placating red herring, here are some of the more obvious possibilities:
- LAX: the airport that Flight 815 was scheduled to land at on 9/22/04
- Los Angeles Ten: similar to the Oceanic Six (perhaps only 10 characters "reset?")
- Lost And...Found?
- Locke, Aaron and The Variable [X is an algebraic variable after all]
- Locke, Alpert and The Variable (candidates: Desmond, Faraday, NotLocke, Jacob, Walt?)
- Lower Australia, and X may mark the actual location of the island
As Hurley reminded us in S4, "Australia is key."And Isaac of Uluru (in central Australia) pointed out that there are certain geological places with great energy there.
By the way, one of the southernmost cities in Lower Australia is PORTLAND. According to Richard Alpert, the island is "not quite in Portland." Just a thought. :)

Paging Dr. Candle/Halliwax/Wickmund: An Interview with Francois Chau!
Lost fans, it is a great pleasure to be able to share with you my interview with Francois Chau. He was kind enough to grant me a few minutes of his time, and although I would not consider any of his responses to be spoilers...be fair warned that there is a very small, potential piece of information within the interview that you may or may not consider to be spoilerish.
- Hill Street Blues
- Wiseguy
- China Beach
- Baywatch
- MacGyver
- ER
- Melrose Place
- Walker, Texas Ranger
- JAG
- Stargate SG-1
- Alias
- 24
- Grey's Anatomy
- Numb3rs
- Medium

Before we begin the interview...a video refresher! As of right now, what we know about Pierre Chang and his many pseudonyms has been strictly gleaned from several Dharma Orientation Films:
Barracks Video (aired during Comic-Con '08)
The Swan Orientation Film
The Pearl Orientation Film
The Orchid Orientation Film
And now, an interview with Mr. Chau, the man behind the multiple names on our favorite island.

Jo: Prior to being on Lost, you appeared on 2 Carlton Cuse shows (The Adventures of Brisco County Jr and Nash Bridges). Is it a coincidence, or have you and Carlton maintained a professional relationship through the years?
FC: To tell you the truth, I might have met Carlton very briefly at an audition session many years ago. I can't really remember for sure if I did. I'm sure he doesn't remember me. I hope I get a chance to meet him before Lost wraps. Maybe he'll give me a job on his next show![minor spoiler alert!]
Jo: I try to remain as spoiler-free as possible, but I did notice on IMDB that you are slated to appear on the first episode of Lost in Season 5 ("Because You Left"). Can you confirm that to be true?
FC: Since it is already on IMDB, I guess I can tell you that 'yes,' I have shot some stuff for Season 5. However, I can't confirm whether or not some of it will appear in the premiere episode.Jo: You have the distinction of being the only character on Lost who has four names (Candle/Chang/Halliwax/Wickmund). Are you given any clues about your character, regardless of what his name might be in any given scene?
FC: I have not been given any information as to why he uses the different names on the 'orientation' films. I am assuming that 'Chang' is his real name, but of course, this is Lost, so who knows?
Jo: Whenever you appear on screen, the eyes of many Lost fans are immediately upon your left arm; there are myriad theories about exactly when and how your character lost his arm. I assume that they haven't informed you as to why he has a prosthetic arm on occasion, so...if you had to create a back story or take a logical guess, how do you think Pierre Change lost the limb?
FC: Ah yes. The arm. Sometimes I'm not sure myself if the arm is prosthetic or not. Why would he pretend to have a fake arm? My theory is that he did lose the arm, and it happened during the 'incident' that was referred to in the first orientation film.Jo: When you filmed the Orchid video in 2007 and the Barracks video in 2008, were you aware that they were going to be played during the Lost panels at Comic-Con rather than during regular episodes?
FC: We shot the Orchid video with the rabbits first specifically for Comic-Con, then shot it again for the show itself. The Barracks video was also shot specifically for Comic-Con '08. I don't know if it's going to be used in the show.Jo: Do you watch Lost to keep up with the story and characters for future appearances, or simply as a fan?
FC: I have to confess that I did not watch the show on a regular basis during the first 2 seasons. I watch it now, not just because it's a great show, but because wherever I go, people ask me all sorts of questions, so I have to sound like I know what I'm talking about!Thank you so much to Francois Chau for being so generous with his time! I am so appreciative to have such an opportunity, and look forward to checking in with him after he appears on Lost again this season.

Belated LOST Season 5 Updates/News

As you know, I prefer to remain spoiler-free. However, when Damon & Carlton took over the lackluster Dharma Wants You alternate reality game and started teasing us with scenes from Season 5 in their Dharma Special Access videos...I couldn't help myself (visit ABC to see those new scenes; I won't post them here out of respect for spoilerphobes).
Here are some of the more interesting and recent LOST stories, photos and videos:
Season 5: 17 uninterrupted episodes (TVguide)
New individual & entire cast promo photos (courtesy ABC, link via DocArzt)
"The Constant" rated the #1 episode of TV in 2008 (TIME)
New Dharma logo revealed [lighthouse or beacon? see image above], James Joyce's Ulysses featured (E!online; minor spoilers in video!)
I really appreciate that you take the time to visit and read this particular site when there are so many stellar LOST-specific ones for you to choose from. I may not have daily updates or breaking news, but I share your enthusiasm for the show and will do my best to provide entertaining and interactive posts from here on out.
Happy holidays!

LOST Season 5 Spoilers?
...you won't find any here. Sorry. There are so many great Lost fan sites which feature spoilers, but I happen to enjoy watching every new episode with absolutely no idea who's guest starring, what the plot involves, etc. ahead of time.
If you are a spoiler hunter, I encourage you to visit and bookmark any of the blogs which are listed on this site on the right side under Quid Pro Quo, especially DarkUFO, DocArzt and TheODI.
