One Year Later: Reflections on the LOST Series Finale
When the Washington Post asked me what I would change about the LOST series finale, only one aspect came to mind (and my opinion has not changed since The End). You can read about it here, along with responses from Damon Lindelof, Jeff Jensen, DocArzt and others!
I was also honored to have been interviewed by MTV, along with fellow Lost analysts Erika O (LongLiveLocke) and Anil K (The ODI), as we addressed our thoughts about the series finale one year later! Below is the video, and here is the entire article.
If you're interested to read my initial analysis of the finale after it first aired last year, here is part 1 and part 2.
Don't forget to join us for a live LOST chat tonight! You can participate on this site or on DocArzt's site at 6pm PST/9pm EST, and further details are in the post above this one.

Jay & Jack's LOST Finale Party: Recap, Photos and Videos
As most of you know, popular Lost podcasters Jay and Jack hosted an amazing event at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 23 to celebrate the series finale with 2,000 fellow fans from all over the world.
Sponsored by Global Cash Card, Jay and Jack held a video contest prior to the event and the winner (Frank M. from Idaho) was rewarded on stage with a custom Dharma van. He was handed the keys by special guest Michael Emerson.
I had the opportunity to host a Q&A panel with a few other Lost actors before Jay and Jack took the stage, including questions from fans in the audience. The first round featured Neil Hopkins (Liam Pace), Eric Lange (Radzinsky) and Andrea Gabriel (Nadia). My second panel guests were Sterling Beaumon (Young Ben), Malcolm David Kelley (Walt) and film actor Tiny Lister. The final round featured L. Scott Caldwell (Rose) and James Horan (Wayne, Kate's dad).
After Jay and Jack's panel with Emerson, we collectively took a deep breath and watched the series finale together on the giant screen. There were audible gasps, cheers and sniffles throughout the 2.5 hours, and it was an unbelievable experience to view the finale among so many other fans who absorbed every second of it with the same emotions and reactions.
The photos above and many other beautiful shots from that night were taken by the very talented Cesar Altamirano, who also took stunning photos on the red carpet at the Lost S6 Premiere on the Beach earlier this year.
Below are videos from the very memorable and entertaining evening. Special thanks to my friend Paul McQue for recording and posting these videos; he came all the way from Scotland for the big event!
I was honored to be included, and would like to thank my friends Jay, Jack and Colleen, as well as Michael Purcell and his Global Cash Card team, for their hospitality and generosity. A huge shout out as well to Alice and Terri, who hosted a fantastic pre-finale party on the eve of the event.

Alas, Paul was not able to capture my first panel, but someone else in the audience did...

Enjoy!

What LOST Has Meant to Me: 6 Years in 6 Minutes
When I asked you to create something that represents what Lost has meant to you for the contest, I realized that I needed to do the same. I am not artistic, nor am I particularly tech savvy when it comes to video editing, but I put together a montage because the photos from my Lost experiences speak volumes (as do the wide grins in every photo).
The pictures in this video represent 2 Comic-Cons, 2 trips to Oahu and set visits, 2 Lost Weekends, 1 red carpet, several fan parties, personal memorabilia and more. Thank you to those of you who took some of these photos, especially Julie Hodgins-Zillman for her beautiful S6 premiere shots of the red carpet.
The two songs are by Vanguard Records artist Matt Nathanson ("Come On Get Higher"). He happens to be one of my best friends, and I have his blessing to use this music. That being said, please do not repost this video without giving him music credit.
I tried to sync the first batch of photos to the lyrics of the first song; some are subtle and some are quite obvious. The second song merely accompanies a hodgepodge of pictures. And yes, I broke my own 3 minute rule. But 6 (or so) minutes is fitting, for six seasons of a series and six years that have changed my life.
I will be posting the contest entries received thus far on Friday night or Saturday morning.
Enjoy your finale weekend and experience!
Make Your Own Kind of Music: 2 Incredible LOST Videos
As we approach The End, I have been sent many links to creative Lost tributes. Given that our favorite characters are headed for a flash sideways concert that may just result in island convergence, I thought it would be appropriate to share. These two songs in particular brought me to tears today.
The first is by a very talented singer/songwriter named Jesse David Weeks. This is is his music video for "Answers."
"ANSWERS" by Jesse David Weeks from Jeff Hammond on Vimeo.
The second is a fantastic hip hop song called "I'll Never Be Lost Again" by The NJusticeLeague.
Enjoy!

Exclusive Look at LOST Untangled, Season 6!
Here is an exclusive production still from the brand new season of LOST Untangled, a very entertaining video recap series on ABC.com that debuts after every new episode.
I rather enjoy seeing Dr. Chang in puppet form! So what do you think, Lost friends - does this seemingly innocent photo hint at the shape of things to come? After all, this cute and fuzzy version of Dr. Marvin Candle seems to have full use of his left arm (pre-Incident)...

LOST Season 5 DVD Extra: Behind The Scenes of "The Variable"
Here is another sneak peak at one of the special features on the LOST Season 5 DVD & Blu-ray, which will be released on December 8, 2009.
In this video (titled "Action Figure Faraday") they go behind the scenes of the shoot-out sequence in The Variable. Jeremy Davies, Eric Lange and Evangeline Lilly share their thoughts about filming that scene for the 100th episode of Lost:

Sidenote: I am particularly excited to see this entire feature on the DVD because we were standing there in New Otherton watching them film the shoot-out back in February of this year while on the Lost tour!
Enjoy!

Belated LOST Season 5 Updates/News

As you know, I prefer to remain spoiler-free. However, when Damon & Carlton took over the lackluster Dharma Wants You alternate reality game and started teasing us with scenes from Season 5 in their Dharma Special Access videos...I couldn't help myself (visit ABC to see those new scenes; I won't post them here out of respect for spoilerphobes).
Here are some of the more interesting and recent LOST stories, photos and videos:
Season 5: 17 uninterrupted episodes (TVguide)
New individual & entire cast promo photos (courtesy ABC, link via DocArzt)
"The Constant" rated the #1 episode of TV in 2008 (TIME)
New Dharma logo revealed [lighthouse or beacon? see image above], James Joyce's Ulysses featured (E!online; minor spoilers in video!)
I really appreciate that you take the time to visit and read this particular site when there are so many stellar LOST-specific ones for you to choose from. I may not have daily updates or breaking news, but I share your enthusiasm for the show and will do my best to provide entertaining and interactive posts from here on out.
Happy holidays!
