The more I think about it, the more I think that the timeline that Sun/Lapidus/Ben/notLocke are in is the alternate timeline. For one, Darlton always said that Christian is in fact dead. However, he could still be very much alive in this timeline. Also, the condition of New Otherton, and the never before seen photo containing the Losties further fuels this theory.
